Overview
Provided content strategy, SEO and UX copy review for VIRDI, Alva Technologies' automated property-valuation platform covering 1.7 million Norwegian homes, plus discovery-phase value-proposition work with the company's CEO.
Who This Is For
Proptech, fintech and data-driven consumer platforms asking people to trust them with a major decision. This case is most useful if:
- you sell to both businesses and consumers, with different value propositions
- your website needs to build trust in a model visitors cannot see
- SEO targets broad terms where specific local ones would convert better
- you want page-by-page editorial direction rather than generic advice
The Challenge
Alva Technologies' VIRDI product needed a stronger B2C value proposition. Its live website copy needed sharper headlines, SEO structure and trust-building content for visitors weighing one of the largest financial decisions in their lives: buying a home.
Our Approach
The team now behind ECM.DEV started with discovery, then reviewed the live site page by page.
- Stakeholder interview: planned and run with the company's outgoing CEO to map the customer journey, business model and value propositions for both B2B and B2C markets.
- Editorial review: direct comments on the live copy, including a sharper homepage headline and anonymised accuracy examples to build trust.
- SEO direction: neighbourhood-level rather than city-level keyword targeting.
- Explaining the model: infographics and structured FAQs to explain the platform's machine-learning valuation model.
Impact
Trust built into the copy. A fast-growing proptech platform, covering roughly 70% of Norway's housing stock and used by banks and real estate chains, gained sharper website copy grounded in specific SEO and UX recommendations rather than generic advice.
When the product is an algorithm, the website has to show why the number can be trusted. Specific examples do that better than claims.

Dries Buytaert: The cost of running multiple CMS platforms
Dries Buytaert argues that running multiple CMS platforms creates hidden operational costs through duplicated integrations, security policies, expertise, and governance. He proposes standardizing on Drupal while using different operating models—SaaS (Acquia Source) for speed and PaaS (Acquia Cloud) for control—to preserve flexibility while reducing fragmentation.
