Overview
Produced a promotional webcast of MEFTEC, a Middle East banking technology conference in Bahrain, under a signed partnership agreement with the event's organiser.
The Challenge
Media Generation Events Ltd, organiser of MEFTEC (Bahrain International Exhibition Centre), wanted a professionally produced promotional film capturing the conference for its own marketing and for the event's exhibitors and sponsors.
What We Propose
Under a signed cash/trade partnership agreement, ScribeMedia produced a roughly three-minute promotional film covering the two-day event: filming VIP arrivals, including Bahrain Central Bank Governor HE Rasheed Mohammed Al-Maraj, exhibitor coverage, and highlights from named speakers including Chris Skinner (Balatro), Christophe Langlois (Visible-Banking.com), Jeremy Wilson (Barclays Bank), Roy Vella (Royal Bank of Scotland) and Gartner Group. Russell personally wrote the detailed shooting brief and coordinated the production and delivery schedule, with tapes shipped from Bahrain to ScribeMedia's New York office for post-production.
The Outcome
The finished promotional video was delivered within ten working days of the event, giving Media Generation Events a shareable record of MEFTEC 09 featuring real named senior banking and technology figures, distributed on the ScribeMedia.org homepage and the event's own channels under the agreed partnership terms.
This work was delivered through ScribeMedia, Russell's own venture. Any public information referenced here is used for identification and does not imply endorsement.

Dries Buytaert: The cost of running multiple CMS platforms
Dries Buytaert argues that running multiple CMS platforms creates hidden operational costs through duplicated integrations, security policies, expertise, and governance. He proposes standardizing on Drupal while using different operating models—SaaS (Acquia Source) for speed and PaaS (Acquia Cloud) for control—to preserve flexibility while reducing fragmentation.
